Who we are and what we're doing.

CAFFEINE SOCIETY is a San Francisco independent book publishing company, distributed to the book and gift trade by SCB.We have also forged a relationship with Innovated Products, a company that markets to the coffee trade. In addition, a Japanese distribution deal has been struck.	CAFE HAIKU, our first title, was intended to be a photography portfolio, but our efforts produced a charming book that has spawned events, gained media attention, including radio interviews and a bit of morning television. WISHFUL THINKING and SELF HELP are the result of long lunches. Jacqui Lumer and Jeffrey Goldsmith met in an advertising agency in New York in 1991. It took 14 years to find the cure writer's block. Click here for the PDF.	Ideas for FUTURE TITLES are plentiful, the questions are: what to do and when? Slowly and surely, our books will come out, a few more every season, but then all at once we may publish a boatload. We'll see.
ART DIRECTOR Jacqui Lumer has been a highly regarded advertising maven, and is now a supermom with two amazing children, and more brilliant visual ideas for books than Caffeine Society could possibly publish.	PUBLISHER Jeffrey Goldsmith has been a journalist, translator, copywriter, photographer, but now finds himself on a mission to put books together and get them out there.
